Public lecture “The Orchid Legacy” opens the conservation work to the public

The public lecture “The Orchid Legacy” is one of three preliminary events in the Road to Yokohama series. Its subject is the forest orchid research and conservation collaboration between Indonesia and Japan — the work that later underpins the pavilion's July theme.

Forest orchids sit among the 18 strategic commodities tracked by the BPS 2025 Horticultural Statistics, and are one of the clearest meeting points between Japanese research interest and Indonesian biodiversity.

The date will be confirmed once coordination with the organiser is complete.
